Mawmaw ran into a really good sale last weekend and came home with all sorts of goodies for my kids. One of them being new tennis shoes for Ethan. He was ecstatic...wanted to put them on...only as usual, he didn't have any clothes on except his "undies". (This is how my children like to run around. They strip for the race as soon as we come home from anywhere!) So, these pictures are of Ethan going outside Sunday afternoon to help daddy feed the dogs....he just had to try out his new shoes. "Can I run fast?" - was the first question he asked me after putting on his new shoes.
Right now, he is loving putting on his crocs and zooming around as if he has "racing shoes" on. He gets in moods where he likes to play one thing all the time for a week and then it is on to something else that captures his attention...

I was taking the time to clip Morgan's fast growing fingernails and went ahead and checked all the kids -fingernails and toes. Didn't have to clip any of Ethan's since he bites his nails. As I was checking his toes (which didn't need my attention since he bites them as well...unless we catch him in the act!) I asked him, "Why do you bite your toenails?" His reply, "I was hungry."

Do-Re-Mi
The past two years I have been able to sing in the Summer Chorus at Ball State University.
"One Hundred Fiftieth Psalm"
"Come To Me, My Love"
"Hark, I Hear The Harps Eternal"
"If Music Be The Food of Love"
"In Flanders Fields"
"Begin the Beguine"
"Stomp Your Foot"
Not very stylish, but they are supposed to help...
...well, help those who already know what they are doing!...
Here is a picture I had taken with my voice teacher...
...so we are now back to a family of three here...
Morgan loves her mommy...and her mommy loves her!
I brought peanut butter cookies....to die for (if I must say so myself!)

A Princess OR a Ball Player
Since Morgan's first name (Sarah) means "princess", it is only fitting to think that she will be a princess. Especially if she ends up being the only daughter to Shawn and the only sister to Ethan and Landon.
But, I can see it now...imagine with me...only sister to Ethan and Landon would have to have fun doing what her brothers do, so I believe she could end up a great ball player, outdoor kinda gal.
Whaddya think?
Hats off to Morgan - she is really excelling in "baby school"...Test passed: Rolling over...all over the place - literally...she gets herself in tight spots and then needs help getting out. Also, she has 4 teeth already! Ouch! She sure can bite...razor sharp teeth...anyway, she is definitely eager to learn! :-)

Big Boy Stuff
My boys spend hours on their bikes...just in the past couple of weeks Landon has taken to riding his bike. He is so stubborn....we would help him get going and he would, no joke, do 3 rotations with the pedals and then stop, hop off, and go do something else. Didn't have any interest in pedaling. Then one day, ta-da! He started to enjoy it and doesn't need an ounce of help. Now he rides all the time...crazy boy!

Fishin' 4 Fun
but it takes a special person to be a dad."
The daddies: Shawn & Scott
The boys: Ethan & Konrad
Early in the morning, on the 4th of July, the daddies quietly woke their oldest boys up and quickly dressed them. Why? They were going fishing! Yeah! A man from our church who has a small pond lives close by to us. The pond is full of fish. You barely drop your pole and have caught one.
They had a blast. Ethan loved it; although he would take breaks. Ethan would say, "I just want to watch." On the other hand, Konrad never would stop; he kept at it the whole time.
All the boys wanted to talk about in Sunday School the following Sunday was that they caught fish. They kept interrupting each other and they both had to tell their version of the story. The poor Sunday School teacher was afraid they didn't get much out of the lesson....:-)
Sunday dinner was fabulous...fried fish, baked potatoes, green beans...Mmm! My men can go fishing lots more if we can have yummy meals like that!

Ready to Work
After a trip to the park, I swung by where Shawn was working and was able to see him for a couple of minutes. We get to see him most days, and even have lunch together, so on this particular day he was glad we stopped by because we hadn't been together at all that morning. The boys were thrilled - they love to see daddy and "work" with him. As you can see from the pictures, when Landon hopped out of the van he was carrying his hammer and square...he was ready to work!

Celebration Chuckles
will ignite a spark in your vocal chords
and cause you to explode into a laughter filled day....
to me on their many visits to our home?
Now it looks like he still isn't through with that tradition yet!
Notice Landon showing Grandma his "b00-boos" -
That kid gets a lot of mileage out of his cuts and bruises!
As I was preparing Ethan for the Fourth of July, I was singing a song to him about the men who died for our freedom and then it goes on to say that Jesus died for us so that we can be (spiritually) free. I explained this to him- about how if we ask Jesus into our hearts then we can go and live in Heaven with Him. Ethan looks back at me with this wide-eyed expression of excitement and said, "Thank you, Santa!" He picked this up somewhere :-) and was just using it as an expression!
Anyway, I asked him who we should thank because Jesus died on the cross for us. After a pause, he said, "God." Whew!

Odds and Ends
(Makenzie @ 6 1/2 months; Morgan @ 4 3/4 months)
While at a Fish Fry, I had a fabulous baby-sitter...
Morgan was so content with her and took a nice nap...made for a nice evening for me!
"Stretched out before the Lord" before Sunday School...
