Reunion "Reel"

A long awaited, much anticipated Newton Family Reunion rolled around again. Close to 30 people were there and still a few weren't able to make it.
My sister went with us to take care of the 6 Clemens Boys and let me tell you, it was so great having her along. I was really able to relax and enjoy myself.
Morgan was an angel and that certainly helped.
I took a ton of pictures...here are a few....

Some of the Gals...
Thad and Me...
Daddy and Landon...
Getting to see some rabbits that lived on the campgrounds...Shawn and some of the other daddies took their kids camping by the pond one evening while we were there...
Me and my man...
Our family...
Jeanne and a plum-tuckered out Morgan...

Regina and Gwen...
Morgan's first time in the highchair...
Landon sharing his drink with Reagan. Yes, you read that right! And you can tell from the picture. :-)
Cousins enjoying a snack....later in the week, the adults would enjoy fresh tomato sandwiches at midnight...mmm....Josh even had peppers on his....you should ask him about that! hahaa
Morgan really took to Jeff and vise versa....
The youngest set of Clemens Cousins...Makenzie, Chase, and Morgan...
Ethan would run and jump off the diving board. I did manage to do my flip off the diving board, but don't have pictures to prove it...
Blake and Ethan having fun...

Josh will be have a permanent place in our family come a few months from now...yeah!
Dwayne trying to let Morgan wear his shades...

What fun...Until next time...Goodbye!

Hair 'Do's & Don'ts

Morgan is 6 months and going strong.
Her doctor's appointment revealed to us that she
weighs a whopping 19 lbs. 1 oz. and is 28 inches in length.

I get tired of fixing Morgan's hair the same way all the time.
Especially since she is getting squirmy while I try to get it pretty looking.
So here are a few different 'do's for your viewing pleasure.

This is a DON"T 'do....she had just woke up and greeted me with this grin...

It is so simple just to pull her hair back with a couple clips..Shawn informed me that he likes it to look a little "messed up" since she is a baby and it doesn't need to be perfectly in place all the time...

Front view of the ponytail....

Wanted to see what a ponytail would look like....

Definitely a choking hazard...
won't be able to do this too much since she will probably grab

them and put them directly into her mouth....

There you have it folks...
...a beginning to a never ending routine of fixin' Morgan's hair...
that is, until I hand the reigns over to her! Oh dear!

Helicopter Showdown

It was great fun having Joe, Calista, and Magnus over while they were in the area for a Helicopter event...we went with them one evening and the remote control heli's were lit up and "dancing" to the music. In one of the pictures you see the kids playing with glow sticks that were being passed out.
We also had Konrad with us for the weekend and so my boys had a great time. One of the evenings, Joe tried to teach them how to arm wrestle...maybe Calista should have been the teacher! (Calista, I did not post your picture in this event...I figured you would appreciate that!)

New Batch of Cousins

Skipped the kids nap for the day, and so, on the way to Pam & Glen's they fell asleep. Well, Landon and Batman did. ..smiles....

Maddy was hungry and I got to feed her!

"When in Rome, do as the Romans do..." My boys just replaced some of these words with...."When with girls, just do as the girls do!"
Actually, I believe it is safe to say that this also has somewhat of a twist to it.
Yes, Ethan is having tea, but obviously showing the girls a new way of doing it!

There was a shortage on balls and guns, but Landon didn't mind!

We all had babies at the same time - again!
Morgan looked huge since she was a few months older.

Hurry Up and Smile

After a couple of practice sessions with the boys at home; plus a bribe (yes, pure bribe) to be able to get a special dessert if they smiled for the photo session, this is what the photos turned out like. I was very relieved that they behaved so well. Definitely will use the bribe tactic again! ...smiles...... Morgan was so good as well. The photographer would say "squeeze her cheeks" (not those cheeks, the ones on her face!) and that was all it took - Morgan would grin! Wish it would always be that easy, but I will definitely enjoy it while I can!
Extra info: I only got my $7.99 package, but thought I would show you the different shots and pages that they put together...since they gave me the smilesbywire for free.

TP Shortage

Landon's nose had been running like crazy. Mommy needed Landon to go retrieve some toilet paper since I only had one box of Kleenex in the house. So, off Landon goes to fulfill his mission only to return to his astonished mother with the remains of what toilet paper was left on the roll. Everything has turned out okay since Morgan's nose is running steady now, so I just keep tearing chunks off to get use out of it. No way was I gonna roll it all back on! Have any of you ever tried that?
With correction, I do believe Landon has stopped this "pulling the whole roll off". He has done this three times this week (second and third time was when he didn't holler for me to wipe him and tried to do it himself)
So, let this be a warning to mothers: Use Kleenex. A whole lot easier to stuff back in the box than trying to re-roll the toilet paper.

Time Flies

The school where I spent my senior year - Pilgrim Holiness Academy - just had a reunion. Wasn't a ton of students that showed up, but enough that you got to see some friends and get caught up on their lives. As you can tell from the pictures, Landon found himself a buddy, Morgan was still able to squeeze a nap in while Billy held her, and Ethan had a couple of "hospital runs" with Lacy who was fully equipped with a huge first aid kit. Ethan, who is very accident prone, managed to tear not one, but two huge chunks of skin off of his toes while there. Also, I was able to capture 2 others graduates in my class (we missed you, Colt!) for a quick picture....time flies! I have been out of school for 6 years and in two months will be married for 6 years and have 3 children! Wow~ what a life ...loving it!
