Another Year Older

We worry about what a child will become tomorrow,
yet we forget that he is someone today. ~Stacia Tauscher
2 cake mixes, three batches of icing, and some intense concentration, I produced his much needed "lots of dinosaurs cake" -his words- (and cupcakes) ~
Ethan's birthDAY is extra special since his Aunt Emily shares this day...which, I might add, she turned sixteen! She now carries around her permit (which she passed her test the first time and took her mug shot) so now we just have to pray a little harder!
(
joking, Emily!..sort of..)
The boys helped me make a picture frame for Auntie ~
What a blessing to have Ethan Chandler in our life. If you would have told me all the feelings, emotions, and work that goes into raising a child, I would not have been able to fathom it all. Now, on the other side, I totally understand. No, I didn't say I was perfect and had all the answers.
I just understand the overwhelming feeling of protection (physical and spiritual).
And yes, I have apologized to my mother for the times I invaded her quiet times!
While we try to teach our children all about life,
Our children teach us what life is all about.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Ethan and Emily! Cute cake... good job Melly!

I showed it to the boys (they love dinosaurs... and Justin... well, he is obsessed with volcanoes, hurricanes, and anything of the like so he was impressed!)
